If you had to pick a tropical storm to get, this one would be it. Alligator Point is probably pretty close to being on the edge of the heavier rain. I see the forecast is up to 4 inches. Taking a look at the dry air though, it might not be that bad.

However, I'm not sure if the rain to your NE is supposed to push through:

If it does, that might just be as much of an event as the actual storm in terms of rain.
Even for a region that is bad about surge, this should be rather minimal. |
