I don't think it is accurate to suggest this system is "moving through South Florida." It is not, and it is not forecast to do so. At worst, coastal South Florida will be grazed by some stronger t-storms before the system gets caught up in the front currently approaching the eastern seaboard and heads out to sea. To me, a system that "moves through" South Florida is a system that actually, you know, moves through South Florida.
For what it's worth, I do see the suggestion of a surface low on this animated loop, but, as usual with this system, it is displaced to the north and west of associated convection. I'd say a depression is unlikely to emerge from this mess, especially given the increasingly harsh shear in its near future . . .
