Northern tip of Yucatan

Visible satellite has an unmistakeable cyclonic rotation in the atmosphere.  Right now it is devoid of convection, but it is not devoid of moisture access.

There is a very powerful ridge stretching along the Gulf Coast right now, and this may keep this system moving W or WNW, but it bears watching.  It has a fair amount of water real estate in front of it.
