Autonomous underwater robotic vehicles. Very cool.

I don't know how, but I wish there was something like this that could track a hurricane from the sea surface and take things like pressure and wind readings. With the waves, wind readings would be pretty much impossible I guess. But as is, these are great for below the surface readings. These can do what some of the AXBTs and other similar types of things that can do measuring things from the surface and then below, like water temperature and some even salinity, only those are all expendable and don't move.
