Typhoon 23W.DANAS is getting stronger...

and is expected to become a low category 3 as it passes over/near Amami-Oshima Island the biggest island in the Amami Islands with an interesting history.  They make Oshima pongee fabric, a special product of the Amami Islands. A light weight fabric it use to be made of silk, it might still be made of silk on this island.
