Sad photos from Coron. Westernpacificweather reporting 3 dead in Coron, 20 dead in Ormac City, 56 in Tacloban, and a storm chaser from Tacloban has yet to check in. Large areas without any communication whatsoever and military already launching aid efforts this morning. These numbers are sadly only the very first reports coming out of remote places requiring satellite phones for communication, so news won't be coming out until relief workers arrive. Death toll to rise all day as reports come in.

I was finally able to contact the Mayor of Ormoc City, Ondo Codilla, this morning. He says damage to Ormoc is severe. The roofs of most houses have been blown off, majority of houses in coastal barangays have been wiped out, roads are impassable, power and communication lines are mostly out, and so many are in dire need of relief.

People in Ormoc are now in dire need of the following:

Rice
Canned Goods/Noodles
Water
Blankets
Tarpaulins/Tents
Medicine

There is a barge leaving for Ormoc tomorrow from Cebu that can bring relief goods. I implore you to please assist in relief efforts if you can. Donations of goods may be dropped off at the following locations:

Titay's Liloan Rosquillos Cebu City Branch Raintree Mall, General Maxilom Avenue, Cebu City (near Jollibee).
