I just wanted to create a new post since it is no longer a major hurricane. (At least as of posting this) Just after I posted last night it started looking worse.
Central Pacific Hurricane Center: http://www.prh.noaa.gov/hnl/cphc/
Floater: http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/floaters/10E/10E_floater.html
At the bottom is a static image of Iselle and Julio. Visible satellite for 23Z on Friday, August 8th. Recon through 23:28Z. The 5pm EDT (11am HST) tracks for Iselle and Julio are included. Best track data through 18Z. Vortex messages from previous missions for Iselle.
You can see for now at least, Julio continues to be north.
Snippet from 5pm EDT (11am HST) discussion:
"IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT...WHILE THE FORECAST TRACK TAKES JULIO NORTH OF AND PARALLEL TO THE MAIN HAWAIIAN ISLANDS...INTERESTS THERE SHOULD WATCH FOR DEVELOPMENTS WITH THIS SYSTEM CLOSELY. "
