We really don't have a choice, Jim. As I understand it, FEMA's national flood insurance program is administered by companies they select and assign. Wright has administered our policy here on Pensacola Beach for a couple of years now, and it was someone else before them. No one has ever asked us whom we wanted to use.
And while I'm angry and frustrated for the Sandy victims, this type of malfeasance by insurers and adjusters after catastophes is hardly anything new. Ask the hundreds of people here who were embroiled in lawsuits after Ivan. |
