I was a little surprised they went ahead with a special outlook Sunday afternoon, but that is looking through 5 days. The GFS/Euro have been a bit inconsistent at times with it.

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
A non-tropical area of low pressure is expected to form north of
the Bahamas later this week. This system could gradually acquire
some subtropical characteristics by Thursday or Friday as it moves
slowly northward. The next Special Tropical Weather Outlook will be
issued on this system by 11 AM EDT Monday.

I like the time series products at the bottom of the page too. They probably aren't the most accurate or up to date, but I like to look at it in general. |
