Earlier recon mission by Taiwan

They sample around the storm there in an Astra jet, like how the NOAA G-IV does with our storms. They do not go into the storm. The images below are from the earlier mission by DOTSTAR (Dropwindsonde Observations for Typhoon Surveillance near the Taiwan Region) in Taiwan. August 6th 0Z position and 3Z track from Joint Typhoon Warning Center. Last sonde dropped at 1:05Z. Non updating images.
