| I see an upper low with Fred remnants moving SE to the north of Grace which should increase shear in a few days meanwhile Grace could become a hurricane before it gets sheared. If she gets through the shear zone which should be 40 to 50w she may have a chance to strengthen before nearing Caribbean. A high pressure ridge is moving west out in front of Grace which may keep the upper lows away allowing a more favorable environment. The question is how much does she weaken before approach to caribbean? and does she take a path which would allow a track north of the Greater Antilles? I would not write this system off regardless of the NHC forecast. |
