Gianmarc do you remember the story about the FSU researcher that said global warming could cause more wind shear? They may have nailed this theory due to stronger jet streams and with a relatively small basin like the Atlantic there is not much room for a favorable spot to stay favorable for very long. I can see Andrew type scenarios though with increasing SSTs under the right circumstances in an unfavorable pattern for one to blow up with a ridge aloft but it would be rare.
