In regard to the sentence:  Regardless of subtropical or tropical cyclone formation, this system is expected to produce hazardous marine conditions over portions of the eastern Atlantic for the next few days. --- from the site StormCarib-- there are rowing teams in boats in a race to cross the Atlantic
by rowing.  The article I read was about the team from Antigua and Dominica-- a jolly bunch
in their 60's-- and 70's plus one 29 year old.
