Fiona is Puzzling

For the past day or two models have suggested a westward and even WSW trend in Fiona's forecast track:


The extrapolation of said models illustrates this trend:


Yet the NHC has continued to send Fiona fishing:


I welcome any guesses as to what may account for this discrepancy. It's been intriguing to observe.
