Fortunately that is indeed a long range forecast. Tons of time for things to change. And historically we know the far more likely scenario is for storms that approach the Bahamas ultimately to recurve out to sea. In fact, I'd love to see stats on the number of storms that reach the lat/long of the Bahama Island chain and surrounding waters versus the number of those that go on to actually make it to the lower 48. I would not be surprised if that number is quite low. |
