Before I came to this post I was just reading about mosquitoes. In the county next to me, Pinellas, they had the first non travel related case of Zika. But I was just reading that the person works in Tampa, less than 6 miles from me. I have been getting bit by a lot of mosquitoes lately, despite efforts to avoid them.

I donated blood yesterday and the last several times there have been more and more Zika questions. This time you had to sign a waiver allowing them to experimentally test your blood for the virus. I was asking them why they kept asking about other countries, and we even talked about S. Florida, but it's already in Pinellas and they don't ask you if you've been there.
