I wasn't expecting NHC to change the track only 6hrs after a prior change, but they went and did it at the intermediate advisory. I suspect given there wont be much new data at the next advisory, they decided to go ahead and bump the forecast.
It's basically what I'd thought they'd do. Split the difference between the prior runs and the current basically. They're not thinking the ridge will build back before reaching Inagua, hence the position at 72hrs. But they take a bit of a GFS run at it after that, keeping it more to the west. Perhaps given the intensity, NHC opted to stay a bit SW of the Euro model guidance; which makes sense.
