One hurricane has made multiple landfalls and will continue to. Another will also make landfall. And another could possibly make landfall. NHC sure is busy in the Atlantic. At least East Pacific has nothing for them to also track.
I was writing an update for Facebook, hard to keep it all straight. Off to bed. 0Z GFS hasn't had any noticeable change for Florida.
11pm AST on Wednesday, September 6th:
In addition to the current watches and warnings for category 5 Hurricane #Irma, "hurricane watches will likely be issued for portions of the Florida Keys and the Florida peninsula on Thursday."
Hurricane #Katia is forecast to continue to strengthen. Hurricane watch extended northward along portion of Mexican coast.
Hurricane #Jose is also forecast to continue to strengthen. "Interests in the Leeward Islands should monitor the progress of Jose." "If future guidance further shifts westward, then tropical storm or hurricane watches may be required for portions of the Leeward Islands on Thursday."
For the latest on all of these storms, visit the National Hurricane Center: http://hurricanes.gov/ |
