The sad part is many in the Tampa Bay area this morning were shrugging this storm off thinking this was an East Coast storm. Now the way the Euro takes this, it is not that much of a west shift away from the ultimate doomsday scenario for the Bay area. Not saying by any means it's going to happen, but if the Euro were to shift another 50 miles west and it takes that more N-NNW motion that the models seem to be starting to want to take it instead of NE after landfall, all of a sudden this thing becomes a major problem for places like Fort Myers, Sarasota and Clearwater.

Once again, not saying it's going to happen. My point is the state of Florida is so thin that a small model shift can put one side of the coast in harm's way instead of the other.
