Personally, I don't see any reasonable way the island doesn't see some category 5 winds at the surface. In elevated areas, with gusts, even more powerful winds. Unfortunately, I don't see any good news for the island of Puerto Rico as a whole. Some areas of the island will likely miss the most catastrophic winds, though it can't be known where until landfall. Given these storms sometimes change their movement around islands, it may put more areas under the most catastrophic winds than if it were it to simply move more in a straight line.

And of course right now every wobble matters considerably for St. Croix. Any bit north of the track right now is terrible for them.
