Highest SFMR in Air Force mission so far was way out here. It's not a mistake because highest flight level winds were found in that very spot:
Flight Level Wind (30 sec. Avg.): 57 knots (65.6 mph) Peak (10 sec. Avg.) Flight Level Wind: 59 knots (67.9 mph)
Whether they consider it representative of the storm, I don't know. 30 second flight level winds then decreased to about 45 knots, then up to 54 knots and then they went through the center. All the SFMR was lower nearer to the center.
Edit: Just for those that don't know, the SFMR instrument on the aircraft estimates the 10 second surface wind.
