Sorry, rickster, ididn't see this post before I sent the last one saying I looked forward to hearing your story. I guess this IS your story -- and, though I know we're all relieved you're alive and kicking, it sure sounds like a huge bummer. So sorry you and everyone on the island has had to go through this, and it's still not over! Glad you're working, but gosh, without power, and only spotty water supply? Simply cannot imagine, going without all this time. You are a major trooper, and we're proud of you for surviving and keeping on keeping on. Please check back in when you can. Sometime maybe you could tell us what the general sentiment is about how the U.S. government performed, or didn't, in the early recovery efforts, or any efforts. It sure didn't seem like anything any of us would be particularly proud of, but maybe it wasn't as bad as the media made it out to be? No hurry on any of it -- just keep in touch as/when you can, please. All the best, BL |
