Thanks. It's going to be a very busy season working on both the model and recon systems, as well as other things.
I'm about to start working on getting satellite imagery back into the Google Maps model display since the old imagery site is no longer available. Maybe in a few days to a week that will work again. I'm going to try to use the imagery from RealEarth which is why I went ahead and did the overlays for Google Earth to see what kind of imagery they have I might want to use.
And many other things to work on too. I have to change many of the maps in the model system from Google Maps to likely ArcGIS because Google is going to start charging money after a certain number of map load occurs each month, starting June 11th. I am not going to change the Google Maps model product at this time though because it would take too long. Hopefully changing other maps will be enough to not go over the limit unless there is a significant storm and then people would just have to view them in Google Earth or on another site. |
