The WPC needs a rainfall page for Hawaii. They only have the continental US that I see graphically: https://www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov/#page=qpf Or at least something special for a case like this. I know some parts of Hawaii get a lot of rain, with a few spots over 400 inches in an average year. Maybe that makes it hard to have images that would show that. But most of Hawaii of course doesn't get that kind of rain and 30 inches or more will be very devastating. I see some model imagery with some total rainfall, but I wish the WPC had it.
This does not include rain already fallen (you can go back a few runs on it though), but it may or may not be a good indication: https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/?model=gfs®ion=cpac&pkg=apcpn&fh=120 That is based off the GFS track of course. |
