It's extremely surprising how it collapsed so quickly.
Andrew Freedman a journalist at Axios says, "This was always a possibility, but wow, I don't think I've ever seen a hurricane weaken and disintegrate like Hurricane Lane has. Still some heavy rain and gusty winds with it, but Oahu and Maui especially got the best case scenario."
