what none of those show is the storm tide effects that will arrive long before the wind- ignoring that has screwed many well-intended storm-preppers

as it gets closer, you will find info on NHC for surge, that is often not soon enough, in my humble opinion - an area of forecasting that needs improvement for lead time

pay close attention to your local emergency officials and NWS
