Carla 931MB 155 mph, filled the entire GOMEX, every TX coastal county experienced hurricane conditions.

Houston and Galveston residents still think they got a direct hit.
It was Port O'Connor, low population, biggest peacetime evac at the time, probably why this storm is rarely mentioned despite being historic.
