I can personally vouch for the water color difference, even as far west as here (Pensacola Beach), but it's not unusual for the lovely clear aqua color -- due to light reflection/refraction off the white silica sands beneath) to turn completely murky after a storm of almost any strength, certainly not necessarily a hurricane. Water here was greenish-brown, foamy and ugly last I looked (Wednesday). Sediment will all settle out soon, no doubt -- especially with the damping north winds we're experiencing.
