We haven't seen a record number of storms though. But we're getting close. It seems like the 1992 season is that record:

It got to Z with Zeke. This year so far is up to "W" with "Willa". Names still to go:

Xavier
Yolanda
Zeke

Could see a Zeke this year. I'm not sure what happens if the East Pacific name list gets to the end. For the Atlantic, it's the Greek alphabet. ( https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/aboutnames.shtml ) Not sure what would happen for the East Pacific. They already use letters in the alphabet that the Atlantic doesn't use, but it still might not be enough in some seasons.
