and have been following this, so sad
yet there are also other weather industry accounts that say it's all made up, but I notice those accounts don't currently have their paychecks stopped... or need to figure out how to pay their mortgage.

I read/follow a lot of the NWS/WPC/NOAA, etc people & some of their stories are just heart wrenching. Every member of t branches of gov't needs to have the same rules apply to them - if there's a shutdown, everything's down, they don't get paid - then maybe it wouldn't be used to hold hostages & throw tantrums

I have several nephews that work for the gov't, so far 2 of the 3 are working & getting paid, the 3rd I haven't been able to get in touch with or get answers from my sister about - I don't believe anything could stop their work at this point, I am thankful for that
