Replying here to cypresstx's post about "2 cracked windshields on different planes", which had this info:

Those were the two Air Force planes that had issues it seems and the NOAA G-IV plane I'm still not sure about. The NOAA G-IV remains sidelined though. It's supposed to depart every day at 1:30am EDT and 1:30pm EDT. A NOAA P-3 yesterday did sample some to the NW of the storm dropping sondes on its way back. Maybe the Air Force will do a mission out around the storm if this mechanical issue continues. That data would be good to have in the models that use it.

Yesterday I got reminded elsewhere that you could view track data for NOAA planes, at least at times, maybe always, through FlightAware. That showed that they flew to Savannah. It even actually shows it is supposed to depart at 1:24pm EDT today:

https://flightaware.com/live/flight/NOAA49

I added that to my recon page that has other information about reconnaissance:

http://tropicalatlantic.com/reconnaissance/#other

I also, because I always forget where it is, added the "NOAA/NCEP Real Time Data Monitoring System (to determine if any dropsondes were added to the GFS)" section to the page. You can see how many dropsondes have been added into the models. It's not all G-IV dropsondes of course, any of the dropsondes can get added into there and they have been being added during the time recon is going into Dorian.

Off Topic - O/T

Tweets can be embedded again for those that want to using the "Embed Video / Social Media" feature. There is a small issue when an administrator tried to edit those posts that I need to fix, but haven't had the time. And I want to remove the old method to post embed code from those sites by posting the embed code they have. It no longer works posting it in a form in a browser and then submitting it, so I want to go ahead and just remove that too and leave just the option below.
