If this was a tropical storm or Cat. 1, would it turn? Our meteorology this morning said that this being a cat 5 may end up doing Florida favors in the end as stronger storms tend to feel upper environment conditions easier than weaker storms. He said this will feel the weakness whereas a lot of other storms wouldnt.
As for this storm turning abruptly, it happens a lot. Irma did it two years ago. This thing will completely stall and then start moving north. Models seem to be very on board with this right now and so I will put my trust in them for now. |
