Maybe my eyes are going bad, but it doesn't look that much different than the previous run. Every run kind of looks the same to me. It scares the coast (ala Matthew and Floyd) but keeps it offshore, even if ever so slightly. And the closer we get to the critical hour, which is probably about 48 hours away, the more that keep it offshore, the more accurate those forecasts become.
Trying to find positives in this and not negatives. One positive is the worst hurricane winds and overall hurricane winds don't spread out that far. For example, Freeport right now is about 60-70 miles from the center of the storm and they're reporting 38mph winds right now. So if this thing can just stay 50+ miles offshore, I think Florida will be okay. Crossing fingers obviously and trying to stay positive in light of this horrible storm. |
