If the people on the larger boat had stayed, they would have very likely been killed. I hope people watching that take that away from that. I don't think I've seen such a life and death decision like that before. The older man at the end was very wise too in the end. He wouldn't stay for another hurricane in Mexico Beach. Hopefully people can learn from some of that. The driving around in a hurricane part was insane. What if the fire station hadn't of been there? I get trying to tell the story, but that could have very easily went very badly. You don't drive around, and the one saying go faster, with trees and power lines coming down all around you. You never drive in conditions like that.

The firefighter finding out his wife was okay, that part got me. Having to help others first and not knowing how his family was.

Losing the big boat was sad too, but at least they made the right decision to not stay on it. I forget if it was his son or grandson maybe, but at least their boat was okay. They'll still have a little income in the family even though it'll never be like it was.
