The long range GFS has been all over the place with the next one, which is now 96L.

That one from a day ago had it staying in the Atlantic, but there's been a wide variety of runs over the past several days, from a hurricane near Miami, FL and Long Island, NY, a category 4 hurricane in Tampa and a hurricane in Puerto Rico and Bermuda. Some runs in the Atlantic and runs where it doesn't develop it much.

At times the long term GFS will get something right, but that might be partly because along the way it seems to guess every possible combination. I don't know what would be better with 96L in the long range, the long range GFS or throwing a dart at a map.
