After the El Faro disaster four years ago, I would have thought ships would have been more careful around hurricanes. I know a hurricane of this strength in that region is rare, unprecedented in modern records I think, but I can't believe they let themselves get that close. I haven't heard if the three people rescued have said anything about whether they thought other life rafts had a chance to be deployed. It may have happened very quickly. I was amazed when I had heard that three people survived. |
