I've been hoping to hear from Beachlover, LawKat and Spagpusher. I assume they might not have power. I hope they are all okay.

For T.D. Twenty-Two:

When I wrote the "or even tropical storm" part I was specifically thinking about T.D. Twenty-Two, I guess future Beta now, and how if it didn't become a hurricane it could always be a flood threat for Texas and/or Louisiana and get retired. The track and intensity of T.D. Twenty-Two is really uncertain. It is forecast to be a hurricane, but the slow movement could end up being the biggest threat. But it could be a threat of both, like Harvey. Just too uncertain. I'm not saying that kind of wind intensity, just that there were two different sides to Harvey, where it made landfall and then where it dumped the rain. This storm could skirt the coast and never make landfall along Texas. GFS and Euro, as of runs as of posting, kind of drag it along the coast of Texas and then inland around TX/LA.

This was the worst time, during a pandemic, to have what could end up being the busiest season, by some metrics, on record.
