I don't know how they phrased it, but other than there might be an increased chance of rain possibly for your July 4th weekend plans is as far as they should go, and even that I think is too early to say from a professional meteorologist. Especially if they used the word "landfall".

For the current run, the GFS doesn't develop it. It develops one behind it.
