Interesting that the Euro has been consistent so far in showing the system dissipating completely after crossing Cuba, whereas the GFS takes it into the west side of the Florida peninsula just north of Tampa Bay as a tropical storm or Cat. 1, crosses the northeastern panhandle and skirts up the southeast coast as a depression and then a wave off Virginia, heading back out to sea. Of course a LOT can change between now and next week. Naturally we have fingers crossed that the Euro is correct, or that at least the storm leaves the western panhandle and points further west alone for a change - not to wish it on anyone else. |
