Wouldn't have thought that for the earliest hurricane season peak when it comes to hurricane hits for a particular city in the database. That got me to looking at some various other places:
https://hurricanecity.com/cities.htm

It's kind of tricky, because the places that get hit often would probably be closer to the overall climatological peak. Didn't really think of that.

Key West and Miami is near the end of September. Cape Hatteras is at the end of August. New Orleans first week of September.

Barbados is around August 17 to 23rd. They don't get hit by hurricanes as much as I would have thought. I guess because a storm either waits to strengthen in the Caribbean or strengthens and curves before reaching there.

I just took a look at the NHC's climatology maps. They only break things down by month.

But you can see the Texas coast being an early target for July when it comes to hurricane hits and some indication on the August map, though because it includes all of August it makes you think Cape Hatteras might be it because they get hit a lot later in the month by hurricanes I guess.
