Re: Quadrantids - 1st meteor shower of 2024

I'm glad maybe 15 or more years ago I saw a meteor storm. Being in the city I only saw dozens at most, but it was the best I've ever seen. I saw a fireball or two at the time. I once just randomly saw a fireball while walking outside one evening.

Every time since that I've tried I don't know if I have ever seen anything. With glasses sometimes I think I might have seen something while looking around, but then it could be the glare from the bright lights around. When you look for 15 minutes and only maybe see a glare, you stop looking after awhile. I'm also not liking the cold as much, so if it's during when it's colder out, I'm less likely to try. And when it's warm, I'm a target for mosquitoes in under a minute sometimes.

It's just so bright where I am. I'm hoping for when it might be a 1,000 or more and then I have a chance at seeing a few of them at least.
