It's unfortunate things like that are getting to be so common. You had another chance to take pictures pretty much immediately. But I assume this doesn't happen too often? There is a neighborhood across the bay from me that floods very often. Every storm and some strong fronts flood them. I don't know how they are able to put up with it so often.
Looks like some driving through it, salt water. (and assumes the road hasn't washed out) I also see some cars parked away from the water somewhat. I guess maybe some people might know how high it sometimes gets and parks there? Or maybe just coincidence.
Winter weather could definitely make it more dangerous to clean up. There's some really dangerous conditions across the U.S. right now. I can't fathom the kind of temperatures some are dealing with. I have family in Tennessee that have a forecast low of 2 and a wind chill of 9 below. And they'll be getting 4 to 6 inches of snow. There was a time when I used to wish I was there when it snowed. Then I grew up. I don't like the cooler weather like I once kind of thought I did. |
