I wanted to note that this is a good example of not paying too close attention the center line. It's going to be moving quite fast and there is a big distance between forecast points. When you add the line to the cone it looks the track shifted west some at landfall. It's more likely relating to the fact that they can't add points to show a curve. For the next advisory the forecast point will be closer to the coast and then it may look like the track shifted east whether it has or not in reality. We're only talking about 20 miles or so, but for those looking at all aspects of the track, just keep that in mind. Best to look overall at the cone, but let's face it, we look at track shifts too. Just keep it in mind. |
