The beaches of Tampa Bay look like a battlefield after Hurricane Helene ripped through. Homes, cars, entire streets—consumed by sand. The storm didn't just pass through, it left scars. What was once a peaceful coastal town is now lined with debris, the evidence of lives and livelihoods torn apart, piled high on every corner. People gutting their homes, tearing out the rot, the ruin. The hurricane didn't just flood homes—it flooded lives. These are images from just parts of Sunset and St. Pete Beaches.

Hurricane Helene certainly hit home for me. I love our beaches and it's going to take a Herculean effort to get things back to normal in Tampa Bay. This is Treasure Island. But I do also hope this shows people how truly vulnerable we are with our current buildings and homes, to hurricanes.
