After all these years we've never met in person. It was good to see him. And his cool truck. He has his storm intercepts on there on little stickers like the hurricane hunters do for eyewall penetrations.
He hadn't seen the 5pm update yet, so it's best he moves his camera further south like the other one based on possible track changes. He's going to try to do that now.
I finished preparing outside. Still a bit inside to do. Then early tomorrow morning we'll decide where to possible evacuate to based on how things look. Anything can still happen, but people south of Tampa Bay should be preparing for a stronger storm, with a deadly surge, just as people in Tampa Bay should fully expect that the storm could very well make landfall right into Pinellas County and send the worst surge into Tampa Bay. All it takes is a wobble either way. Being on Tampa Bay I like the trend, but anything is still possible. |
