Our local weather went over this and added that the consensus had moved the land fall point south of Tampa Bay ( more in line with Sarasota ) but estimated surge heights remained the same -- Tampa getting a substantially highe surge than farther down the coast ) -- if the track holds true ( landfall south of Tampa ) shouldn't the surge lessen there and increase southward ?
