The winds were from the northeast, or near it, for a long time. From Tampa to even Inverness, so that helped keep the water from coming into the bay much. Still not sure about eastern Pinellas though. And it might still rise a few feet as some of the guidance indicates as the winds are no longer from the northeast, I assume in part due to front, not sure. But it won't be what it could have been.

They should have more tidal stations. They will do a survey of how high it got in the end, but still, is important data to have in real time.
