Just wanted to let you all know I am OK and home after what was one of my most intense intercepts ever. I was caught in a stupid position due to expecting landfall at midnight as opposed to 8PM so I had to scramble and drive in horrid conditions which no one should do. The last video on here that was live was just after the eye passed but it got worse as power went out . Transformers were blowing the backside winds got real intense and both of my anemometers failed (I'm so pissed). The eye passed right over nearly dead calm for what seemed like an hour . The program I use did not push the last video after the eye to youtube or facebook It did get recorded to the program I stream on so it will make the final cut. As you would expect internet issues as well cut some streams short. As for the remote cams Siesta Key where the eye hit is still online. Last night it looked like a fire broke out but it turns out a light source must have fallen over nearby and with the night vision enhanced it making it look like a fire. The debris flying was enhanced due to whatever that bright source was but some surge definitely rolled in there. The other cam in Venice is offline not sure what happened but I will head back over there to retrieve them. A lot of video to go through and I'll have the final edit by next week but I wish everyone over there a decent recovery "time wise" it won't be fast but this could have been so much worse. Today I'll try to investigate the tornado damage on the east coast. |
