seriously, there was a NOAA employee who replied

I know actual meteorologist who can't read a skew t plot. I can't either, and I work at NOAA

I personally think they are all a bit too uptight as it's XKCD for crying out loud and obviously humor/satire... I liked that it's venturing into wx-geek territory - they recently did a METAR one as well https://xkcd.com/3024/
