It's sad there could be debris around, but if enough of these blow up maybe rocket man will get to be a little distracted with these rather than messing with the government. He may have a little less power in the government now, with cabinet people supposedly supposed to lead future firings now, but I bet he's still pretty much in charge.

Lol. That was a funny joke. They'll get right on that. Shouldn't have had this launch to begin with. But when the guy who has kind of been in charge gets the opportunity to decide whether to investigate himself and cost himself money, he comes to the conclusion 99.9% of people would probably think he would come to. Even if they haven't fired the people who would do it, the guy that really is still very much in charge isn't going to recuse himself voluntarily. He's going to be looking at launch dates for the next one. I saw on the local news tonight how they are going to move a lot of stuff from Texas to Florida. One explanation they talked about on the local news is more options for launches. Stuff launched from Texas has a narrow range to not, or rather less often, have stuff threaten land. Stuff launched from Florida, you can have a lot more of that blows up in all sorts of directions with less witnesses filming debris reigning down. Everybody wins. Well, not the environment. So more like just the rich guy wins.
I saw your post about NOAA leases trending on Bluesky. I had seen that trend the other day. I wondered if that was specific to me because of what I was looking at, as I thought I had seen it before I logged in. I guess it really did trend for everybody. A lot of smart people on Bluesky to have that trend there.
I had mentioned previously I had jury duty. I don't have to go tomorrow as my number was high and they didn't call my number to have to report. At least now I don't have to explain my current thinking on the state of the justice system, lol. |
